Today I will post a few photos from short Sunday afternoon walk around Chomiczówka and Bielany district. I had only hour for a short walk and it was getting dark very quickly. I took two or three photos with film camera AE-1 with Trix @400 EI, but quickly it become too dark for such photos. I still don’t feel confident judging the amount of light and light meter settings and it’s hard for me to wait for so long to check the results.
Anyway with X100S in my hand took a short walk around the block of Chomiczówka district. I seldom visit that area so those places were new for me. It’s a nice change to visit places you never been before after weeks of seeing the same places when going to and back from work. Falling snow and the evening darkness as well as Sunday made the right atmosphere of the walk and photos.
First photo with X100S was with ISO 3200 setting and colour. I liked the result so I’ve decided to stick with colour but I set lower ISO 1600-2000 to keep the grain on the acceptable level.
I really like the colours of the January evening so I’ve decided not to convert them to black and white. I’ve just checked three photos how they will look like with B&W – they are at the end of this post.
