Walk in Warsaw

Recently I’ve dusted off the one of my lens MC Flektogon 2,4 / 35 Carl Zeiss Jena DDR with the m42 mount which was lying on the shelf unused for a while. With EOS EF-m42 adapter it can be mounted to the Canon DSLRs. This time I’ve mounted it with EOS 350D which is smaller then 50D to take it on the streets for street photo. Street photo is that kind of photography which I think I like the most. Especially a good one like like Severin Koller’s. It’s my first steps in that area so I’m still learning to catch the right moments. The most difficult for me is to dare to take the photos ‘in the face’ of the people on the streets – it’s the most difficult part which I have to overcome…

Below there are some shots taken during the short evening walk on the streets of Warsaw.

Here the photos of the crowdy area at the entrance to the Centrum metro station.

After some shots near the metro I went towards the Marszałkowska Street. There are some shops with sales going on so I thought that there I can shot something interesting.

Below you can see the people waiting to enter the bus which goes to one of the small cities around Warsaw. Here is an unofficial bus stop for the private buses which goes cheap and quickly to destinations around Warsaw.

Next destination was the are of the Chmielna and Nowy Świat Street. There always evening and night life is going on.

That

That’s nice – there are planets on the pavement around Kopernik’s monument.

Nowy Świat – posters of the campaign for the women equal rights… Very nice. I especially like that one with the hen. It’s play of the words and meanings in polish. The translation is: “Who has the balls that rules” In polish the word for balls is ‘eggs’ – So – who has eggs that rules ;)

First poster is also part of this campaign. On the photo there is Maria Skłodowska-Curie saying “Males also can create science”.
