Well, yesterday was the day of sightseeing the Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. Those cities are lying on the Pacific coast. I had a great plan from the beginning of our adventure to swim a little bit in Pacific – not often you are on the other side of the globe and have access to such huge amounts of water. Yesterday I´ve made it ! I was swimming in the Pacific ! Remember here is still spring, but in the Viña del Mar was almost 30 Celsius degrees in afternoon when we came.
I wasn´t surprised by the aura ´coz i´ve managed to check the weather conditions the day before with the help of http://www.windguru.cz (if you´re surfer or not you have to know that site). And the forecast was right – water 14 degrees, waves almost 3m, quite strong wind – perfect conditions for the surfing :) . Waves were probably not as big as they could be – however for me – European guy with access only to Baltic sea – they were really frightening – bigger than me with the strong wave-back which was pulling to the open ocean…
However it was a great fun to fight the waves of the Pacific having in mind that here the summer is coming (as well as Helloween) and in Poland probably I should have wear quite a warm cloths…
So it seems that for now is the end of our adventure. Today (it´s 2:11 already) we will do our shopping – some wines (we´ve been sightseeing the Undurraga Winery ! and we´ve bought cheaply a good wine), coffee and other souvenirs from Chile.
Tomorrow just shopping and trip to the Santiago Aeropuerto. Then direct flight with AirFrance to Paris and then to Warsaw. This time the trip should be shorter even though we will be travelling in the opposite direction of the Globe Spin…
