…our last stops were Tum and Płock.
Fist we visited the Collegiate church of St. Mary and St. Alexius in Tum – small village very close – about 3 km from Łęczyca. The church is one of the best polish examples of the Romanesque church of granite. It was built during the years 1140–1161. It’s quite unique in polish architecture mostly because of two apses (west and east). It was recently renovated and I must admit that it looks nice. I’m really encouraging to translate polish wiki pages as the story of the church is long and interesting. For example just take a look at the original baroque painting made by polish artist.
Our last stop was Płock – capital of Płock Mazovia region. Also quite an old city but not well known. There are many really interesting places, however it was going dark and we were hungry, so just a few photos taken there.
