Until Thursday I had a perfect location for taking the photos of Centre of Warsaw and it’s skyscrapers. I had wonderful view from my work windows. Unfortunately we had to move to another location. Earlier we worked in the very centre of the capital of Poland – near Metro Centrum Station with a view at the PKiN palace. From Friday I work at the outskirts of the City. We are laughing that beyond the building there are only cemetery and the wilderness (Puszcza Kampinoska). The building is far away from the centre of the City close to the last metro station to the North – Młociny. Going there by car you cannot miss it, it’s the only 15 floor building around. The degradation is complete: earlier we worked at the 12th floor with a great view at the city now we work at the 2nd floor with a view at the pitch-black roof of the barracks around.
Of course that description is exaggerated a little bit as the new Warsaw districts Bielany and Bemowo with huge blocks are quite close, but for sure is the building is the last one before the forest and the sign ‘end of Warsaw’.
Knowing that it will be the last day in that location in the centre I had to take a few last photos. As usual I had with me X100S so I have to take all photos in 35mm (equiv.) – no chances for some close ups taken with longer focal length. I wanted also to take some long exposure photos however I was unprepared and I hadn’t tripod – so I had to try without it. After taking a few photos the red low battery started to blink and it was the end of the session. You can see photos I took before battery run out below. Those night long-exposure photos were taken with a little cheating – after heating the battery I managed to take two more photos.
Check the result of that session below.
