Rolleiflex TLR – The new toy. I’ve managed somehow to buy occasionally the Rolleiflex camera in a good condition. Unfortunately it’s quite old construction (probably built between 1939 and 1945 based on the serial number: 899045), but anyway it’s like ferrari car in the world of medium format photography. Unfortunately it’s quite old construction, as well the lens are not so fast as they could be (Schneider-Kreuznach Xanar f/2,8, Carl Zeiss Tessar/Plannar f/2,8) – but it was reasonable and affordable option. The prices of those cameras with fast lens from 50s and 60s are starting from the 800-1000 Euros…

This model has a hinged back with exposure guide. The camera could be used with Rolleikin I to use 35mm film & with the special glass plate film adapter. The following parts of his model can be modernized to 1955 standard: waist level finder, larger focusing knob, double exposure safety lock, viewing lens bayonet, X-sync contact.
Also useable after modifications: Rolleimarin I under water housing, Rolleimeter, Rolleiflash.
