I prepared photos almost a week ago, however I had no time to write a post with those photos. I always try to write some comments to those photos, e.g. where the photos were taken or what happened behind the frame – that’s why photos waited for the better moment. Finally I’ve found some time to write some words. Here you can see the photos taken during short weekend photo-trip. On Sunday I left home armed with two analogs and one digital. I wanted badly test my new 6×9 camera however I still feel not so confident when shooting after twilight with analog camera – usually I don’t have tripod with me and lack of high ISO available is a problem for me. My last purchase of old Ilford 3200 was unlucky as you can see the results from that film in previous posts. I would try new Ilford Delta 3200 but it’s quite expensive film.
That’s why after dark I usually shoot digital as I can correct immediately my errors, and see the results at once. Also availability of the ISO 1600 is a great help.
During that trip I’ve headed towards Most Gdański (Gdański Bridge) as I haven’t other idea for the interesting place for shooting photos. On my way there I stop once or two when the area looked promising for a nice photo…
Some interesting shots of the high-tension wires and pylons..
Those streets look alike, but in facts those are two different roads in different parts of Warsaw. First one is the Armii Krajowej route – photo taken at the Żoliborz district. Second photo shows view at the ‘Wisłostrada’ – the road along the Vistula river – photo taken from the Gdański Bridge.
Interesting stairs at the MOst Gdański. I promised myself to return there during the day and with B&W medium format film.
Trams at the Most Gdański.
Most Gdański is interesting construction, it has two levels on the lower level there are tram tracks, and the top there is normal road – two lines in each direction. Especially the view on the lower level is very interesting. I really like this first photo with the tram far away in the centre.
View at the bridge from the side and on the second photo – banks of the Vistula river – empty during winter – during summer there are many people walking along the river as well as many bicycles – there is very popular cycle track.
One of the final stops of the weekend photo trip – Praga district. It’s a very nice place especially during the summer – there is many nice restaurants, coffee bars and other places. Francuska street is full of live during hot months – I feel that this place is very popular among young people and artists. That’s why this place have a good atmosphere – there are no signs of the stuffy aura of the capital city.
By the way those nice colors are because of the ‘Velvia’ setting of the Fuji camera… nice.
Last two photos are just a quick snaps from the most often visited place by me for a night street photos: Nowy Świat(1) and Chmielna street (2).
