Martial Law Anniversary

On 13th of December there was the anniversary of the introducing the Martial Law in Poland in 1981 ( More about it you can read in wikipedia ).

In fact i was late from work for the event – reconstruction of protests of group of students at the Castle Square at the time of introducing the Martial Law in Poland in 1981. When i came it was already finished. The former Polish Police – Milicja – was giving interviews to the press, actors playing students where planning return home or going for the beer, on the pavement there were lying rocks made of paper and the duck tape…
Well at that time I could only wander around and take photos of that what left – original Milicja uniforms of the reconstruction group, oryginal cars used by the Police of that time – Polonez and Nysa – Police version called ‘Suka’ – used for transporting prisoners or equivocals.

It was really strange to see again the Milicja on the Warsaw Streets. Especially strange was the contrast of Milicja and those Xmas lights and Xmas tree… I wonder how it looked like then…
