Recently I’ve been on a few interesting photo exhibitions. One of them was exhibition of Vivian Maier’s photos, entitled “Amateur” in Leica Gallery in Warsaw. Some photos were really great, also the quality of photos taken with Rolleiflex in the streets were really good. However I left the gallery with mixed feelings – from the one side I liked the photos very much (most of them), but also I had a chance to compare Vivian style and her photos to mine and I’ve realized how much I still have to learn. I think I have to stick more strictly to Robert Capa’s words “If your photographs aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough” and the second conclusion is that people backs are less interesting that faces…
