Today photos taken with Fed4 loaded with Equicolor. But the story first…
At first I’ve loaded Equicolor into Yashica Electro 35 as I wanted to take some quick random snaps in color. But after I took two or three photos I’ve decided that the viewfinder is too dirty and I have no pleasure in taking photos with that camera until I clean the viewfinder. The method is simple. Rewind film carefully to not to let the whole film roll into film cassette and later on when loaded into a new camera taking the same amount of photos with the lens completely covered.
I couldn’t decide and choose the camera to load this film until I remembered about Russian camera fed 4 lying under my bed. Two previous test films weren’t too successful, well exposed frames was less then 50% – I’ve decided that this time I will take photos very carefully: checking the right exposition with the light meter as the fed’s lightmeter with calculator is quite old and not reliable especially in low light conditions. Second thing I should always check the cap is off the lens… and I managed to waste only one frame this time.
I’m satisfied of the results after developing film in the lab. Industar lens looks modest, but gives good sharp results. The only problem is that camera : the shutter exactly, must be fixed. On all photos at the left side of the photo the black thick stripe is visible – it’s the obvious result of problems with shutter.
Photos were taken in random localizations – mostly because I had no occasion for the photo walk or time for some project.
