Developed roll No2

Photos taken with Yashica Electro 35 GSN, Ilford Pan 400, developed in Xtol 1:1.

EDIT: I had no time to write some comments to those recently deeveloped rolls. Well I’m quite pleased with the results. Especially older roll – with photos taken during last fall and winter – Ilford Pan 400 with Yashica Electro 35 GTN looks nice. I’m especially happy from the fact that I didn’t f. film development up. Maybe it’s one of the aspects of the film photography ? The risk and the awareness that you working with something valuable ? One small mistake and you loose all photos. Other is that you have influence to the whole process from pressing the shutter button to the working with chemical to develop photos and see the results. I start to like it – even though I’m still a beginner.

First roll compared to the second one looks worse (imho) and I don’t know why – especially that Konica Auto S3 gave wonderful effects with Fuji Pro 160 (the film was Rollei Retro Superpan 200). I worked to have the smallest possible grain however with the development times ‘by the book’. Photos from that roll are quite soft, not sharp – I don’t know whether the reason was the long exposure times and wrong distance settings, or the development process. Or maybe the developer (Xtol) ? When you develop film by yourself – there is another factor added which has huge influence on the results. And of course I don’t metion the scanning process which have also huge influence.
