Here some photos from the 1st of December in Warsaw. These photos are the result of keeping close the camera when walking around or travelling from and to work. Maybe it’s just a poor beginnings of the new photo category of photos taken – street photography. Well I think my camera might be a little barrier – EOS350d it’s not a perfect camera for it. Not the worst one, but neither a good one. Well, after mine little ‘customizations’ to the camera – exchanged my normal lens Tamron 17-40mm/f2.8 to Canon 28mm/f2.8 it’s a lot better. Camera is smaller and I’m not flashing with the big lens around. It may even fit to bigger jacket pockets. The composition is completed by the custom strap for the camera – colorful, handmade knitted, brought from Chile :). Well imho there are two roads for the street photography for me (i know I won’t be a good one at it – but it’s worth to try) – the easy one: Digital camera, compact DSLR-like – maybe micro 4/3? PEN – preferably with the lifted lcd display, and small wide lens. And the second one: more difficult, rocky end more expensive one – analogue compact camera – preferably with range-finder and B&W film. Well… I’m trying to find how it is on that more difficult one… I cannot afford the analogue Leica camera (yet. :) ), and second – there is no point in buying such a good camera – it would be a simple wastage of a good camera for the person like me.
However i still want to try. That’s why i bought on auction old russian range-finder camera FED 4. Soon i should show you the photos of it. It looks like a tank T-34 – simple, heavy, a lot of metal, and mechanics only. At first it’s really difficult to master it – so I’m trainwithout the film in it – but soon I’ll have to try take some photos – I’m curious of the results…
To be continued…
