When I saw Zalewski Circus (Cyrk Zalewski) putting up at the Wola district I knew I had to go there and take some photos. Unfortunately taking photos during the day collides a little bit with my work, so I had to shoot some photos during the night with digital. The results were nice however I really wanted to take some frames with analog during the day. I was really lucky that this circus is very close from my work, so I could take camera for my lunch break and while resigning that day from the meal – take some shots of the Circus. When I came there I noticed that on the place were earlier was big colourful and illuminated tent there was just empty field with the mud and some dirty snow. They were packing to move to the new place. Because of that I had an occasion to wander a little bit around the cars, barracks and leftovers from the circus camp. I think that those photos taken on film with Voigtlander Vitomatic really nice show the view at the place and the atmosphere around. Taking photos with that camera is not so easy, as there is no any distance meter like e.g. rangefinder – the distance must be judged by the photographer and set on the distance scale on the lens.
Probably because they plan to move that day I had occasion to see lions from the short distance or the sat dish put near the barrack they lived in. Usually there is high fence around the tent and barracks so seeing all those details is hard. Just take a look at those photos below:
Satellite dish – making life a little bit easier in the temporary barracks of the Circus.
You can even reach the lions if you dare…
