Finally i’ve managed to develop (unfortunately not by myself) the Agfa APX B&W film with photos taken by Canon AE-1. And I have to say that results are really great ! Some photos were out of focus just a little bit – but that is just getting used to the camera and the lens. Some of them are too flat gray, but my theory is that it’s because of overexposing the photo. I should now take photos with setting one or two stops lower than indicatied by the camera, especially that sometimes change quickly – maybe someday i will be so experienced to judge by myself what should be the correct exposition. I have to remember also that the light meter measures the light of the whole picture through the lens, camera doesn’t know what is the subject choosen by me of the photo. I have to remember about that.
Well, i have to say that some photos are really good ! Focus is all right, true blacks on the photos – great (or maybe just good) compostion… Well in fact they look like NOT MINE photos :) However i remember that i took them so… maybe…
Other reason why those photos are better than previous ones, except really good film (i think so – i’m not a pro) AgfaPhoto APX ISO 100, may be the lab. Well, I was developing the photos in other lab then normally, the film was scanned there as well. Unfortunately it’s more expensive there :( so i will have to find out the way how i would like to process my photos… Probably i will have to look for a good film scanner…
