Well, those photos where taken during quite a long period of time. First photo: Ania at the some kind of well at the ‘Rynek Nowego Miasta’ (Market of the New City) in Warsaw was taken probably in December 2010. Others, from Berlin were taken during the New Year’s Eve and first days of the New Year 2011. A few were taken in Modlin and Gdynia probably in February/March, the final shots on the roll were taken during snowboard holidays in Italy – in Livigno in April. Than it took some time to develop the films… so finally I got the negatives as well as scanned photos in May…
But it was worth to wait. Some of the shots are really great, some of them are not technically perfect, however they are interesting because of the subject and the frame itself. I still have to train my technique… especially the correct exposure – well I must say that conditions on a few photos were really though and with the Agfaphoto APX100 film inside (ISO100) and without using the automatic exposure: PROGRAM mode of the camera it was not easy to take a good shot.
Well especially a well exposed and sharp portraits look really great on that APX100 film. But I’m still working on the repetitiveness of those shots…
Take a look at those:
One of the first photo on the roll taken probably in December 2010 at the ‘Rynek Nowego Miasta’ in Warsaw.
Next part of the photos was taken in Berlin during the New Year’s Eve trip to that city.
I like this shot of the LIEBE letters… Eberswalder Straße Bahnhoff – U-bahn metro station looks interesting in B&W – it was opened in 1913 as Danziger Strasse as a iron station on stone columns.. I hope to return there and take better shots of that construction.
And below next part photos from Berlin. First: at the undergrounds of the Berlin U-bahn during changing the lines… next – photo taken at one of the platforms of Brand New Berlin Hauptbahnoff train station.
Next two photos were taken at the coffee after the visiting the Peter Lindbergh ‘On the streets’ and Fred Herzog ‘Photographs’ exhibition at the C|O Berlin. They were really good. Especially Fred Herzog’s photos were of my type.
This photo of us was taken at the mirror on the side of the escalator of the KDW building… I was really suprised by the effect, and that it looks so good… probably it was taken with automatic mode of the AE-1 :) unfortunatelly it’s impossible to check it afterwards… no exif… :(
Below are the two photos taken probably between February and April in Gdynia Orłowo. Those are from the Canon AE-1, at the same time some shots were taken with use of the Yashica Mat TLR which were posted here.
Last part of the photos were taken during April trip for snowboard to the Livigno in Italy. First shows the old stable, nowadays probably preserved just for tourists. And three others where taken while waiting in queue to the great italian restaurant. It was great that you could try some liquors to kill some time while standing in queue… I really recommend that place – the food is just awsome :)
