Well… as a big boy I have a lot of toys, however always the new one is warmly welcomed.
This time I managed to hunt down the Baby Rolleiflex Camera (4×4). Model K5, SERIAL NO. 2037412… Probably from 60’s. It’s in really great condition, just slightly used.

I’ve found webpage with serial numbers of Schneider-Kreuznach lens which have been assigned lineary. By the serial number of the lens: 5550689 it seems that the camera has been produced between February 1957 and May 1959.
It’s very interesting camera, and it’s really small TLR. The disadvantage of that camera is that it uses special kind of film – Type 127 (4×4 cm)- which currently is produced by one or two factories – One of them is EFKE in Croatia. Such non-standard film it’s difficult to buy, more expensive when compared to normal 6×6 (120) film, and it’s really difficult the place where it can be developed. The process is normal like for normal B&W film, however you need to have a special cassettes for developing…
The camera itself is very handy, small and very nice. Also the mounted lens Schneider Xenar 3,5/60mm is very good. It would be a perfect camera for the street photo. What a pity that it needs special kind of film. If only it would be 35mm…
Because of all that I will probably have this camera for the short period of time – just to shoot the test film. Hopefully soon it will be the part of someone’s nice camera collection…
