Finally I managed to select first part of photos from my trip to United Arab Emirates – to Abu Dhabi. There is a completely different world out there. the difference is visible everywhere. Unfortunately on the photos you cannot see the heat which is always there. During the day 45 degrees Celsius, at night temperature drops to 35-38 but humidity is rising so in the evening and in the night is even worse – you are completely wet after a short walk.
Photos are nothing special – architecture mostly – not street stills as I like, mostly because UAE is not photographers friendly country. The law and rules about photographing people and places are more strict – when you won’t obey them you may visit Arab prison. There was a loud case when US professor took photo of no photo allowed sign and landed in prison for 3 months. He spent less after intervention from us embassy. There is not allowed to take photos any of the government buildings, embassies, airports or ship ports. People can be photographed only if they agreed on the photo. That’s why I was a little bit afraid to take usual street photo shots…
I hope the photos still are interesting. Take a look.
